Trolling as a Digital Literary Practice in the Russian Language Internet

This article explores trolling as a form of literary activity. It presents a number of specific types of trolling on the Russian-language Internet in connection with digital literature and the literary practices of various groups of Internet users. Techniques for writing provocative “troll-texts” were created and developed within subcultural groups in the 1990s. Later, from being a subversive practice known only to a few insiders, it became a mass technique described in meta-texts that identified rules for trolling and shared facts about its culture with all interested users. The aim of the study is to examine the Saami book history in the context of Finland in order to understand its evolution from 1820 to 1920. The study focuses on books and other printed materials in Saami language(s) (or idioms) and it looks into archival documents to throw light on their intellectual history. The Saami book history has unfolded slowly, and occasionally, it has appeared to fall into decline. Museologian Pro gradussa tutkittiin kulttuuriperintökokoelmien pelastussuunnitelmien toimivuutta kohteisiin sijoitetun irtaimen kulttuuriperinnön suojelu-, evakuointi- ja jälkihoitoprosessien näkökulmasta katsottuna. In this case study, we investigate Finnish as a L2 writing skill of weak writers in lower secondary school. The study is based on writing performances of 25 students who each completed four different writing tasks (i.e., 100 texts) and questionnaire about background information, self-assessment of writing and literacy practices. First, we discuss writing profciency of the target language in general and in school context from curriculum and pedagogical point of view. Then we present results of questionnaire data and focus on performances of two writers with A1 writing profciency.
